Hi, I’m Casey! I’ve always had a deep love for getting to know people, hearing their stories, and understanding what makes them who they are. The questions I always get when people find out about my job are, “How did you get into this field?” and “How did you know you wanted to be a therapist?” My answer is simple: I have been on the other side for many years, know what healing and growth feel like, and want to provide a safe space for others to experience the same.

My own healing journey has shaped the therapist I am today. Not because I’m perfect or have everything figured out, but because I understand that being human is hard! I’ve experienced and still experience what it feels like to struggle, feel stuck, and wonder if things will ever get better. I believe that understanding brings compassion, and I try to bring compassion into the work I do with my clients.

Something I often say to my clients is that progress isn’t linear and it looks different for everyone. Growth can be uncomfortable yet healing at the same time. It might feel worse before it gets better, especially when we’re moving away from patterns that have felt familiar and safe for a long time. I believe therapy is a space where you can show up exactly as you are, explore the parts of yourself that need attention, and move toward change at your own pace.

I feel incredibly honored every time someone chooses me to walk alongside them in their healing journey. My hope is to create a space where you feel seen, heard, understood, and safe enough to explore the things that may feel difficult to say out loud. You don’t have to have it all figured out before you begin. That’s part of what we’re here to work through together.

I’m glad you're here, and I’d be honored to be a part of your journey.

I graduated with my Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy from Abilene Christian University (Go Wildcats) in 2021 and have been practicing since. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist #1990.

My clinical training includes Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and SomEx, a Somatic Experiential intervention used in the treatment of trauma and addiction.‍ ‍

A space to Reconnect with Yourself

Phrases I say often in session:

“I hope you can feel proud of yourself.”

“Let’s pause and notice.”

“Our bodies will do whatever they need to do to self-protect, cope, and keep us safe.”

I believe therapy is an opportunity to better understand your story, reconnect with yourself, and create meaningful change.

My approach to therapy is rooted in curiosity, compassion, and collaboration. I value helping clients better understand the connections between their experiences, emotions, thoughts, and internal experiences. I believe healing happens when we develop a deeper understanding and compassion for the ways we have kept ourselves protected and safe, and build greater autonomy and harmony within.

When I am not in sessions, I am spending time with my husband, Jacob, and our dogs Winnie and Wrigley. My favorite forms of self-care are moving my body, eating chips and guac, and watching reality TV! I will always have at least three drinks in my hands at all times: Iced Lattes, Diet Dr. Pepper, and Water. I was born in Nashville, and have lived here my whole life, with a short break for school in Texas. I am a proud Enneagram 6 who will always be prepared for anything, I have an exit plan ready at all times!
